Congratulations Bethel #28 & Bethel #69

On December 30, 2011, Bethel #28 & #69 held an installation of officers. It was an amazing evening with over 100 people in attendance! There was representation from five different masonic bodies present, Masons, Eastern Star, DeMolay, Daughters of the Nile and Job's Daughters and adults from Colorado. Also present, 4 Past Ohio Miss Job's Daughters, a Past Miss Colorado Job's Daughter and 3 possible candidates on the sidelines.

Congratulations to Alexis Lucas, Stephanie Sharritts and their officers on their installation. It was truly a beautiful ceremony!

Since their last OV, Bethel #28 initiated 3 more girls, with a possible 3 more for Statewide. I believe the Bethel is on the rise again! So keep up the great work.

Hope everyone had a great holiday and is looking forward to Statewide Initiation on January 28, 2012.

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon in my travels!

7 New Members for Ohio Job's Daughters!

Hello Everyone!

The last week was really busy!  Last Saturday we had the Statewide HIKE at Big Walnut Skate rink in Sunbury, Ohio.  We had over 60 people from all over the state present and thanks to many generous donations and Celeste's Silent Auction we raised over $900!  Many thanks to Mrs. Amie Fleck who organized this fun event.

On Tuesday, 11/8, Bethel 55 initiated Lexi at District 3's dual OV.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it as I was very under the weather, but thanks to Mr. E for covering for me.  I heard they had a great time and did a great job.

This past weekend was packed with fun and travel.  Saturday we traveled to Bethel 75 in Middletown for District 2's triple OV where they initiated 5 new members!  Kyla and Ciara were initiated into Bethel 7, Reagan was initiated into Bethel 12 and Alicia and Sierra were initiated into Bethel 75.  Our OMC, Celeste, presided as HQ and everyone did a fantastic job relating the story of Job to the 5 candidates.

Sunday myself, Mr. E, Mrs. Davies, Mrs. Prince, Celeste, Ashley, Alexis, Kaitlyn, Tiffany, Julia and Stephanie all traveled to Middleport for Bethel 62 & 65's dual OV.  Mackenzie from Bethel 65 presided beautifully over the meeting and initiation where Destiny was initiated for Bethel 62.  We had fun fellowship after the meeting with a lot of Gum :)  Our caravan stopped in Athens for a nice dinner at Bob Evans.

Several of us will be attending the State Master Councilor and the Grand Worthy Advisor's receptions next weekend to wrap up our official travels for the season.  We hope you all have a safe and happy holidays and we hope to see you all in January at our Statewide Initiation on January 28th at Northland Temple in Columbus.

Safe Travels to all,

Brandi

Boy has this been a busy fall season. Many OV's have been completed and 2 CAV classes. The Grand Guardian Mrs.Bright and I have accompanied our OMJD,GBHQ,and OMC to all the Grand masonic body banquets in the past weeks. The Ohio Miss did a fabulous job making speeches to all. It has been great to see everyone at each of the bethels as we make the rounds. There are 3 more OV's to go, district 3 at Bethel 55 with Bethel 11, district 2 at Bethel 75 with 12 and 7 on Saturday the 12th of Nov. Sunday the 13th the last OV is at Bethel 62 in Middleport with Bethel 65. The Skate for Hike was fabulous. If you missed that it was a great time. Thanks to Amy F. for all her work. We are looking forward to the statewide initiation on Jan.28,2012 in Columbus . The Supreme Guardian will be there for her visit to Ohio. Also keep in mind JDU winter weekend is right after that in February. Thanks to all for your hospitality that we received along the way.

H.I.K.E. fundraiser

Hello jobie sisters!
I hope that everyone is getting excited for the Skate for H.I.K.E. event. Being a figure skater I'm hoping to not fall on my hiney several times :P I'm looking forward to seeing all my jobie sisters and watching the adults skating/falling/skating with us :)
This year, at the Skate for H.I.K.E. event, I was hoping that each bethel would donate a basket for a silent auction. These baskets can contain anything and/or be themed if you would like, as long as everything in it is jobie appropriate :) All the proceeds will go to H.I.K.E. The baskets will be bid on at the event.
Ideas for baskets could be movie themed, jobie themed, and for the beginner skater a first aid kit with ice packs and padding. Be creative and have fun. It all goes to a good cause.
I hope that all the bethels will participate by donating a basket, enjoying the skating and maybe, you can go home with a basket of your own at this great fundraiser. I can't wait to see you at the skate for H.I.K.E.
Jobie love,
Celeste Prince

A Great Jobie Weekend and a lot of Chicken (Banquets)!

Last weekend many Daughters and Adults from all over the state traveled to Warren for Bethels 49 & 31's Official Visits.  Both Bethels had very nice OVs and had support from Bethel Sisters from several different Bethels.  Bethel 49 initiated a new member, named Brandie.  The Bethels had a nice lunch of soup and salad in between the meetings and there were many fun things available to see and purchase for HIKE.  Later that evening I had the opportunity to chill out and go swimming with the GBHQ Ashley, OMC Celeste and Alyssa P back at the hotel.  What a great way to relax after a long day of meetings!

The next day we traveled to Bethel 80 in Akron for their OV.  They had a great turnout and honored their Grand Bethel Officers and HIKE Rep.  They also initiated a new member, Cassie.  It was great to see so many people fill the sidelines and the Grand Bethel girls look fabulous in their Hot Pink Dresses!  It was a long weekend of Jobie fun, but lots of fun and fellowship was shared by all.

The next day, OMJD Elizabeth, Mr. Eisleben and myself, traveled to the Grand Council Banquet in Columbus.  We also attended the Grand Chapter banquet and the Grand Commandry banquet this week too.    Elizabeth represented Ohio Job's Daughters very well by giving 3 thoughtful and meaningful speaches throughout the week.  It was great to visit with DeMolay's State Master Councelor, Bob, and Rainbow's Grand Worthy Advisor, Holly, as well as many officers of the other Masonic bodies.  However, it did seem like we ate a whole lot of chicken!

We are now in the full swing of fall and the changing of the leaves is a beautiful sight.  I hope you all are enjoying the cooler weather and all the fun things that come with it, football, hayrides, pumpkins and bonfires.

Here are some of the coming events:
October 19 Bethel 10 & 69 OV @ Bethel 10 in Springfield 7pm
October 29 Bethel 22 & 71 OV @ Bethel 71 in Groveport 4pm, followed by the Fall Ball, all are welcome
October 30 Bethel 35 & 61 OV @ Bethel 35 in Girard 4pm, preceded by Niles Halloween parade @ 12pm
November 5 Statewide HIKE at Big Walnut Skate Club in Sunbury, Ohio 2:30pm

We hope to see you soon!
